Illustrious One 0.8.3-beta.1
Bottom line: a beta of Illustrious One for Windows with an in-app update notice, approval cards that reach your phone, the WhatsApp CEO bot, and a long round of security and reliability fixes. It is a beta: read "Known limits" below before you install.
What is new
- Update notice. Once a day One checks this site's signed release list. When a newer version exists you get one card in the chat and a line on the status page, with what changed and where to get it. Nothing downloads or installs by itself, and a release whose signature does not check out is never shown.
- Approval cards on your phone. A step that needs your OK reaches your phone, with reminders after 1 hour and 24 hours. An unanswered card expires after 72 hours, and the card says what is waiting on it.
- WhatsApp. The CEO bot can answer on WhatsApp, with plain-word commands, captions kept as written and files sent and recognised reliably.
- Telegram bots. One switch per bot chooses whether Hermes or the Illustrious harness runs it, and memory is kept per person.
- Decision engine. A new soft gate weighs a step before it runs, tested on a CPU-only simulation harness.
- Second brain (off by default). Cortex can use your own notes vault as long-term memory, read-only for the bots.
Fixes
- No error message, log line or card ever repeats a token, key or channel key. A key file that cannot be read is named, not quoted.
- The secret check that guards agents' commands now sees through more path forms (8.3 names, long paths, admin shares, folder climbs, wildcards) and never crashes a turn.
- The owner-priority store waits out a busy moment instead of failing, so your messages keep their priority over background work.
- The Telegram bot says once, plainly, when its channel key is missing or unreadable.
Known limits
- Not code-signed. Windows SmartScreen may warn when you run the installer. Choose "More info", then "Run anyway", only if the file's SHA-256 matches the one below.
- Windows only this time. There is no Mac installer for 0.8.3-beta.1 yet.
- Not install-tested on a clean PC. The installer was built and its files checked, but no fresh install, upgrade or uninstall has been run on a separate machine yet. Please report anything that goes wrong.
Files
Both files are in the beta testers' Google Drive folder (you need to be signed in with the account it was shared with).
